I’ve been working on Political Cartoons.

I do what I enjoy and rise above my previous status.

Ted O’Donnell
Vote for me, TCircled, for Prez because I will not whine, bitch, or cry if I lose.

I enjoy drawing political cartoons, and although they stink, sometimes I do like the way they turn out. I like drawing them especially when I’m depressed because my focus is pulled away from any anxiety that is pressuring my mind.

I find a lot of material simply because I don’t like Democrats or Republicans. For example:

Jesus came to protect Trump and Biden.
Biden Zombie!!!!
“Trump is my Lord and Savior!!! I will kill who and whatever he doesn’t like!!!”

The worst of them all:

It was my first try at making a fully digital cartoon. Despite the fact that it is awful it was fun to do. Trying something for the first time is always fun.

Quote Quiz #2

Was it Pres.s Trump, Obama, or Biden? Or was it Rep. Greene, Sen. Clinton, or V.P Harris?

Actually it was two politicians who made similar comments about the Burning Man Festivals’ disaster. It was Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia

Rep. Greene stated, “God has a way of making sure everyone knows who God is.” This was after alleging that there were Satanic rituals taking place at the festival.

Sen. Lee implied that the flooding was nothing less than “Gods’ judgment.”

This was reported in Rolling Stones magazine on Sept. 4, 2023. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/marjorie-taylor-greene-burning-man-mike-lee-right-wing-blame-god-1234818034/amp/

Hatred and name calling is not what I would consider Christian. Plus if God’s judgement is being reigned down on the U.S. by way of natural disasters, then it would seem that almost the entire country is being punished.

I would advocate that the U.S. should start praying regularly.

Clashing Con Men’s Quotes.

Obviously, I don’t think much of our current & past president, but I should admit that there are only a few politicians that I like.  I think they’re all crooks.  However, I’ll keep those opinions for myself.

My dislike of elected officials is only an example of the overall point of this post. It is:  Before my emotions take over my brain and lashing out at someone with my mouth or hand, I try to force myself to slow down, breath deeply, and try to think of one good thing about them.

After reacting without thinking, I have almost always felt upset or disappointed with myself. Depression quite often engulfs my brain after my emotional reactions cause me to respond automatically. Essentially I feel like a screaming lil’ 2 year old

Near my home in mid-Missouri, both Presidents Trump and Biden have many fans. I don’t like either side and could easily envision slipping into an argument with the left or the right sides. However, I have to admit both have made some very good comments.

Failure in your life is inevitable but giving up is unforgivable. Pres. Joe Biden …. However, “unforgivable” seems a little harsh
Sometimes by losing a battle you find a new way to win the war.  Donald Trump … I didn’t realize he served in the armed services.

The only real issue with their lines is that they’re not very originally. Trumps’ is basically “learn from your mistakes”, while Bidens’ is essentially saying “winners may fail, but they never quit”.

For instance Greek philosopher, Plutarch said, “To make no mistakes is not in the power of man; but from their errors and mistakes the wise and good learn from their mistakes.”

Confucius also said, “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”  Both are extremely close to what the presidents said.

Admittedly, rephrasing an expression is not a big deal. Plus phrased differently, an ancient idiom may reach more modern ears.

Consequentially when I hear whoever’s political devotee articulating why the U.S. will be transformed into a new nirvana once that candidate is elected, I always try to mention one good thing about the praised candidate.  I try to keep the peace and rarely mention that I almost always vote third party which could potentially cause an argument.

Besides avoiding a depression episode, maintaining a peaceful relationship is a step toward loving an enemy for me.

Closer to home, I have a co-worker who drives me up the wall and I have had to stop myself when I want to tell her to “F— Off!!”

However she does a job that would have me at my wits end. I have to admit that I’m impressed that she does it whenever she is there.  We have a small staff, and if she left it would make my life worse.  Therefore, before lashing out in anger, I stop, breath heavily while remembering that it is good that she is there.  I also tell myself that there is a proper and improper way to deal with issues at work. Using profanity at work would probably fall in the improper category. I say nothing out of anger so peace is maintained.

Stupid Presidents

The point of this post is simple and quick.  Everyone has heard a phrase like: no matter how bad things are for you, there will always be someone who has it worse.

It’s true.

I agree but would add = No matter how dumb you think you are very successful people screw up too.

Similarly, when I miscalculate a total at work, and someone seems angry with me, I’m normally more upset with myself. Then I try to remember that the only person who was perfect, was Jesus. All humans make a mistake at some point in time.

What follows are two quotes from the last six presidents, three democrats and three republicans.  It should be noted that I found these quotes on the internet and did not check out when or where they were or when they were stated.

Joe Biden:    The greatest gift is the ability to forget – to forget the bad things and focus on the good. Yeah voters just forget that inflation business.

No one ever doubts that I mean what I say. The problem is I sometimes say all that I mean. Lying only 30% of the time wouldn’t cause any doubts.

Donald Trump:    The 1990’s sure aren’t like the 1980’s.  Oh no nothing like the ’80’s. One had Reagan and the other had Clinton and the Cold War ended

The point is that you can’t be too greedy.  Especially if you’re worshipping Satan and not Jesus.

Barack Obama: You know, my faith is one that admits some doubt. Buddy, look at the definition of “faith”?  I think the Pope’s faith has doubt.

Since I’m the president and Democrats have controlled the House and the Senate, it’s understandable that people are saying, you know, ‘What have you done?’  No comments necessary

George W. Bush Jr.:   You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on. Because they believe whatever you say, vote for you, and fund your campaign.

It is clear our nation is reliant upon big foreign oil. More and more of our imports come from overseas.  Yep, Canada and Mexico cannot beat out the Middle East and China in the import race.

Bill Clinton:   Being president is like running a cemetery: you’ve got a lot of people under you and nobody’s listening.  Well maybe you should have yelled more.

A lot of presidential memoirs, they say, are dull and self-serving. I hope mine is interesting and self-serving. Now kids, there’s a goal to have in mind.

George H. W. Bush: I do not like broccoli. And I haven’t liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. And I’m President of the United States and I’m not going to eat any more broccoli. Of course not, unless Mom comes to town.

I have opinions of my own, strong opinions, but I don’t always agree with them. An opinion you don’t agree with? This sounds more like a “guess”, “feeling”, or “notion“.

Deep thoughts from Michael Jackson

I never would have guessed Michael Jackson and the future President Donald Trump met with each other

Despite being a hit songwriter, I imagine most people thought of him as an eccentric. Especially after  switching his race by plastic surgery before writing & singing  “It don’t matter if you’re white or black.”

Then I read this short blurb:

And I remember going to the record studio and there was a park across the street and I’d see all the children playing and I would cry because it would make me sad that I would have to work instead.
-Michael Jackson

I think it’s safe to say that everyone has something, which caused them to fall into depression. Perhaps, Michael J. had something even harsher.

7 Quotes From 7 U.S. Presidents

Over a quick analysis some disagreements may drop and some agreements may arrive, provided you’re not a know-it-all, wise guy/gal, or smart ass. (a.k.a. You acknowledge you have more to learn, or in other words, you know you need to keep an open mind.)

My personal quote above presents two out of three points of this post.  The explanations for the three points will follow these quotes.

The points are: 1. When studying or researching a subject, keep an open mind to find the solution.  2.  This “open mind” is necessary for a peaceful resolution between others. and 3. Do what you love to fight depression.  Your mind will stay busy and will not not have time to focus on worse subjects.

“We must adjust to changing times and still hold to unchanging principles.” ― Jimmy Carter

It’s important to focus on the solution, not the problem – Donald Trump

Failure at some point in your life is inevitable, but giving up is unforgivable. – Joe Biden

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. – Barrack Obama

America is never wholly herself unless she is engaged in high moral principle. We as a people have such a purpose today. It is to make kinder the face of the nation and gentler the face of the world. – George H. W. Bush

One of my proudest moments is I didn’t sell my soul for the sake of popularity. – George W Bush

We all do better when we work together. Our differences do matter, but our common humanity matters more. – Bill Clinton

The first acknowledges that I have more to learn and that I may be mistaken.  Or in other words keep my mind open to new evidence but my mouth closed until I know what to say.

Furthermore, I quickly located quotes that were useful for the past U.S. Presidents.  Now for all I knew President Obama could off ripped quotes off of Cleavon Little from Blazing Saddles.  Trump could have said he loved money more than God but became bored with money, so he set out to get power.  Geo. W. Bush did say some dumb things, and Clinton could have …. Well, Clinton could have gone to confession.

Secondly, I have found that sometimes I do not have to research facts or evidence for very long to support or destroy my ideas.  More importantly when dealing with someone at work either a coworker or customer who I don’t get along  with, I try not to rush into judgement.  This will normally help find a peaceful resolution.  By receiving their point of view and then presenting my own normally an agreeable solution can be found or forgotten.

This point, which is not obvious above, is that to keep depression at a distance, I do what I love and concentrate on that. I know this is a long drawn out, poorly written, few will like it, and any comments are apt to be negative or angry.  However keeping my mind occupied and busy, I don’t worry about things in my life that could make dejected, down, and despondent.

What I love tonight is writing a blog post, using quotes from six guys who I don’t really like. There are folks who hate Biden, or Trump, or Obama, or W.Bush, or Clinton, or H.W.Bush.  Ha, I don’t like any of them.  They’re all crooks if you ask me, getting dark money from lobbyist groups and this belief is as broad as state governments.

U.S. President Jimmy Carter

I added President Jimmy Carter because he is the only one in my life time, who I have liked. I was 14 when he left office, therefore I’m only familiar with what he did out of office.  Under these circumstances, it is obvious that he was not motivated  by money for the humanitarian work he did or may still be doing.

Please Note: If anyone comments, asking me to defend my belief that U.S. politicians are accumulating  unaccounted proceeds from various lobbyist groups.  Admittedly this belief is an assumption based on media groups who explained campaign funds in dark money webs.  I recognize that an open mind is still needed to be maintained and that I could be incorrect.
